The chapel at Winkleigh itself still exists as a Listed Building. From the date the building shown could be Merton chapel, which is in an isolated position. Does anyone have better information?

Merton chapel was situated in my garden but was demolished around the early 1900’s? when the Methodist Chapel was built a short distance away, beside the A386 near Ryalls Corner.
