The document attached below is a transcription of part of a family history written by Rev. Henry Roberts Moxley (1881-1963), a congregational minister and son of Edwin Moxley, and supplied by Alexandra Gilbert. The document contains much information about James’ sister, Charlotte, who was a Bible Christian evangelist and married a Bible Christian travelling preacher, Charles Blake. The document also contains extracts of James’ obituary published in the Bible Christian Magazine. James’ wife Elizabeth Roberts was also a well known Bible Christian evangelist. She continued in her preaching ministry after James died.

James Moxley was regarded highly enough in his day to have his portrait in the Bible Christian Magazine. I have added an image to the page.
