This chapel came to my attention when I was sent a link to a news item about a family ploughing their life savings into rescuing it and converting it to a bistro and community space here

Tyne and Wear Archives have a file under ref C.JA6 which says Originally a ‘United Methodist Church located in Grange Road, this church transferred to Bede Burn Road in about 1919. Jarrow Wesleyan Methodist Church amalgamated with it in 1966.’
It later merged with Monkton Methodist church to become Monkton Park Methodist Church.

Park Church was a Methodist New Connexion chapel opened in 1885 and designed by William Hill (1829-1889) an important Methodist architect, particularly of Methodist New Connexion chapels. I have added a plan of 1895.
