  • Richard,

A quick search on Ancestry.com suggests Thomas parents were Thomas Truscott and Jane. Thomas senior was born abt1817 at Calstock, Cornwall. The 1851 census records Thomas senior as a grocer. Later census returns record him as a copper miner in Cornwall.
The 1871 census return records Thomas, junior, as a hired local preacher.
I have not been able to identify a marriage for Thomas and Jane so have not been able to identify her maiden name. Jane was born abt1820 and died before the 1871 census return.
