Pollard, Parsons and their fellow missionaries travelled with their families to China to minister to the Miao people. This contemporary film takes us to the sites synonymous with their work and introduces the people who still celebrate their legacy in the region.

Records associated with Methodist Missionaries are held and the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) in the University of London on behalf of the church. I would suggest that you make contact with SOAS to see if they would accept them into that collection. My late Father-in-law was Doctor T.G. Rewcastle-Woods.
I have his diaries written in 1934-35 when he was a Medical Methodist Missionaire in Yunan.
He visited the Miao people many times and took services. The Church was built when he was working at the Hospital inChungChou (not sure how to spell it !)
What could I do with the diaries as I am 83 and need to find a home for them.?
Samuel Pollards grave stone is still visible in Padstow Church Cemetry. I live 8 miles away.
What a beautiful tribute this video is to the relationship of Christian loving kindness brought to the Miao people by Samuel Pollard, Harry Parsons and their wives. My father visited Stone Gateway several times with Ken Parsons, son of Harry and Annie. He is 96 now and still holds a special place in his heart for the Miao.
