Innis Bible Christian Chapel

Innis Bible Christian Chapel  is a Grade II Listed Building. It was built in
1846 of rendered rubble and a slate roof, with the east porch added later.   It replaced an earlier building. You can see the specification and a picture here.

This remote chapel near Bodmin (and it is seriously remote being right down the end of a country track) was the successor to the first Innis Bible Christian chapel, built in 1820, on land that was formerly a Friends’ burial ground, given to William 0’Bryan – the first Bible Christian leader – in 1819. O’Bryan’s Quaker forefathers, the Groses, farmed Innis and his mother Thomasine was buried here.

The chapel still serves an active Methodist society
