Trewellard chapel

The complex story of this chapel is told on Mapping Methodism where there is also a photograph.

It began life as one of a number of chapels in West Cornwall belonging to the Wesleyan Teetotal Methodists. It was claimed that on March 30th 1851 the morning attendance was 200 and that in the evening 300.

The congregation joined the Methodist New Connexion in 1860, but the chapel appears to have been taken over before 1870 by the Bible Christians, who worshipped there until 1933.
