The Sunday School of the current Methodist chapel in Trelights was built as a Wesleyan chapel, but the congregation kept the building when they joined the Wesleyan Methodist Association in 1834. The denomination became the United Methodist Free Churches in 1857.
In 1887 a new chapel was built next door. Both are listed buildings The listing includes a photograph of the current chapel. The story is also told on Mapping Methodism.
Despite being in existence in 1851 there does not appear to be a return from this chapel to the Religious Census.
